I don’t usually like to buy so many things unless I know for sure that I need them or will use them. But, there had been some occasions, when I have bought a few things, which eventually were left “unused” for the most part. Today, I would like to talk about one such item, which I didn’t use much, after buying it.
It is a regular mobile phone which I bought about 2 years ago from a local electronics shop in my hometown. By the way, the smartphones were already in the markets at that time, but still, I chose to buy a regular phone, primarily because I wanted to spend more time reading than browsing, chatting and playing video games. It is also worth mentioning here that I didn’t own any mobile phone before 2 years because I wasn’t initially very comfortable with the “radiation” of these mobile devices. But, I had to buy one later on because of some practical reasons as I needed to keep in touch with my family and friends more frequently.
Anyway, after buying my first mobile phone, I took good care of it in order to make sure that the phone was always running perfectly well. To keep it secure, I even bought a plastic “mobile phone protector” in order to prevent it from getting “scratch”. Anyway, I really liked my little handheld device because it had a rather unique colour, and it was perfect in size, as it fitted perfectly well within my palm. But, after using it for a few months, I was forced to buy a smartphone so that I could check my emails on the go as I needed to do so for my professional purpose.
Anyway, I didn’t use my regular mobile phone, primarily because I bought a smartphone and started to use it more often. After all, my regular phone didn’t offer me an option for internet use, and it also didn’t look as fancy as my new smartphone. Besides, I didn’t use it that much also because I disliked the idea of carrying two mobile phones at a time.

Thank you very much for the time you have given me to talk about something I have purchased but hardly used. I will tell you about the mobile phone that I bought six months ago which I have barely touched so far.
The mobile phone that I purchased was from the Samsung brand and I got it from a 'Samsung Smartphone Cafe'. The store is located a few blocks away from my home and I purchased a Samsung smartphone (model Samsung Galaxy M 32) which cost me nearly $450.
I already have a smartphone that comes with better features and configuration than the one I recently purchased. However, my daughter, who is barely 4 years old, often used to grab my mobile phone to watch her favourite cartoons on YouTube. Sometimes, I needed the phone to check my emails or make a phone call while she was expecting to watch cartoons at the same time. I had been in a great quandary as it was hard for me to say no to my little angel to let her use my phone while I needed that for important tasks. That's when I decided to buy a second smartphone to solve my dilemma.
So basically, I bought the phone so that I could use it as my backup phone and let my daughter use it to enjoy her favourite cartoons online. However, within a few months, my daughter no longer was interested to watch her cartoons on the screen of a smartphone. She chose a bigger screen for that - our TV. Since I do not want to carry two mobile phones with me and my daughter no longer watches videos on that smartphone, it is left unused at home. However, I charge it from time to time so that it runs without problems.
