Well, I'll share the story with you now. I usually like to shop in a supermarket or a large mall if it is not too much crowded. But waiting in the queue to checkout is something I like a lot less. So, a few weeks ago, when I was waiting in a long line at a super shop's checkout point, I wasn't naturally happy or excited! However, I was waiting patiently for almost 25 minutes, and when my turn came, there was some delay which I w

In fact, I have bought at least a dozen of books so far in order to offer them as gifts to my friends and loved ones, and today, I would like to talk about one of those books. The book, I would like to talk about here, is written on the story of an awesome adventure. Interestingly, enough though, I never really bought an adventure type book as a gift prior to that because frankly speaking, the details of most adventure books were a bit too much boring to me. These gifts, of course, could be anything, from a nice gift card and flowers to some fancy objects. But, today, I would like to talk about a time when I offered money as a gift. It was about a couple of years ago when the birthday of my best friend’s nephew was approaching. The boy was about 6 years old who I used to treat just like my own nephew. But, he wasn’t exactly like other boys of his age as he didn’t have much liking f

Today, I would like to talk about one such gift, a “pair of jeans”, which was important to me. Not sure, why people still call it a “pair of jeans” even though it is just one “piece of clothing”, but whatever we choose to call it, I really liked my jeans pant when my uncle offered it to me as a gift after graduating from my high school about 8 years ago. By the way, it was a rather unexpected g

I was invited as a guest at the party that celebrated the 5th birthday of the child. I bought a gift for her marking the occasion. For this topic, I'd talk about this event and the present that I gave to this child. After much consideration and several attempts at different gift shops, I finally purchased a Lego set for the birthday girl. The Lego pieces came in a large box, and it contained at least a hundred and fifty Lego pieces.

I have recently received a special gift and it was a Kashmiri shawl. The shawl was brought for me from India. This is a local shawl produced in the region of Kashmir which has a border both in India and Pakistan. Actually, a shawl is a kind of chador which is used to cover up the body in winters. The Kashmiri shawl is very useful during winter as it provides a mild heat that is required to protect people from the cold. I am glad that the shawl is comfortable and comes with a unique and attractive des

I got some of the best gifts of my life on this birthday and I think the books were the best of the bests. I have received two books by my maternal uncle naming – ‘The Chocolate War’ by Robert Cormier and ‘Life As We Knew It’ by Susan Beth Pfeffer. Both the writers have beautifully illustrated some of the issues on the books which were unknown to me before reading them. In fact, the books have opened my eyes and I have learnt to think in some newer perspective.
