Model Answer 1:
In my “not-so” short life, I have received several gifts from my family, friends and relatives, and all of them seemed to be special in one way or another. Today, I would like to talk about one such gift, a ‘pair of jeans”, which was important to me.

Not sure, why people still call it a “pair of jeans” even though it is just one “piece of clothing”, but whatever we choose to call it, I really liked my jeans pant when my uncle offered it to me as a gift after graduating from my high school about 15 years ago. By the way, it was a rather unexpected gift from my uncle he was never really very fond of “jeans”. So, when I got the gift, I actually had to ask my uncle to confirm that it was actually he who bought the pair of jeans. Anyway, It was a great looking jeans, which came in 100%  cotton and was dark navy blue in colour. It fit me just perfectly, leaving enough space between my thigh areas in order to manoeuvre my “bottom” part of my body freely. The pant had altogether about 6 pockets, if I remember it correctly, and all of them were large enough and easily accessible to my rather big palms. One of the most distinguishable features of that pair of jeans was that it was surprisingly light in weight.

Anyway, it was an important gift to me because I could wear it for any occasion. Besides, the colour of the jeans was so “unique” that I could wear it with any kind of regular shirts or t-shirts of any colour. Sometimes, I would even sleep in my jeans and still no ‘folds’ could be seen on it, and which meant that I didn’t really have to worry about “ironing” it. However, the best thing about my jeans I managed to wear it for a long period of time without causing any damage to it and thus not worrying about spending any extra money in buying another pant for a long time.

Sample Answer 2:
Receiving gifts is always pleasant. Everyone loves to receive gifts and when it comes from one of the closest buddies, the enjoyment double. Often the pleasure that we receive is more important than the gift itself. The same happened to me last Christmas when Samuel, my close friend, presented me with a T-shirt. I was very much excited as it was not about the gift but it was a good gesture from my friend. After receiving the nicely printed T-shirt, I thanked him generously.

Usually, we exchange gifts around the year. I had no idea that I would get a gift from a person out of the family. So, when Samuel arrived at our home in the middle of the township of Brussels, I was happy to see him. The enjoyment turned even higher seeing a gorgeous looking T-shirt that he picked for me as a gift.

Samuel is such a good friend and we virtually do everything together. We are undergraduate students at Vesalius College and I know him for more than a few years. He is a brilliant student with a sharp classy look. But he wears spectacles which brings an intelligent look on him. He is one of the best friends of mine and we love to share lots of things together.

The T-shirt was merely a gift. But it was important as a token of appreciation and affection of my friend. I have met lots of people in life but none of them is as helpful and understanding as Samuel is. Of course, I do not care about the price and purchasing station. The thing that touched me is the preference. He spent some time to pick the gift for me and so, the gift is very important to me.
