Model Answer 1:
I wish that I had a lot of money and free time to visit the famous and beautiful places of this world, whether they are close to my home or some remote places because they all stimulate our minds and hearts one way or another. However, today, I would like to talk about a remote place which I wish to visit in the next couple of years, if not earlier.

The place is called “Dubai”. Located in the eastern part of the Arabian Peninsula and on the coast of the Persian Gulf, Dubai has been considered a major global city and the business hub of Western Asia for more than a century. At first glance, Dubai, home to the tallest building in the world called “the Burj Khalifa”, would very rightly represent itself as the face of a modern 'UAE', with an ever-changing skyline of new developments, from striking glass and concrete towers to gracious modern buildings by combining the traditional Arabian architectural motifs and features in perfect harmony.

Once I visit this gorgeous city, I would certainly want to explore the vast and empty desert where the “Bedouins” once roamed freely. I would also like to get the 360-degree view of the entire Dubai city from the world’s highest observation deck at a vertiginous 555m which is located inside the “Burj Khalifa” tower. Then, of course, I would also like to visit the busiest mall in the world called the “Dubai Mall” and then enjoy some fine international cuisines from the restaurants there before hitting some famous Dubai sea beaches.

Anyway, I would like to visit this place, primarily because Dubai is probably the only city in the world that embraces a wide variety of scenery in a very small area in such a fine yet contrasting manner. In fact, these very contrasts offer this great city its unique flavour and personality, and cosmopolitan society with a very vibrant international lifestyle, yet with a culture that is deeply rooted in the Islamic traditions of Arabia unlike any other place in the world.
