Model Answer:

As a third-year university student, I don’t have any shortages of ambitions in my life. So, thank you very much for this interesting cue card topic as I will go ahead and talk about one of those many ambitions I have held in my heart for a long time.

Of course, the ambition or goal, I have in my life, is not anything very unique or glamorous as many students of my age from my country have the same ambition which is to become a teacher after finishing their studies. The difference, of course, here is that I actually want to go abroad for higher education, preferably in a country like Australia or the UK,  and then come back to my country in order to work as a teacher at a rural high school.

Now, if you are wondering about why I want to teach at a rural high school, I would say that most students in the rural area of my country don’t have much access to good and qualified teachers as well as quality education, and my presence there as a teacher would certainly make a difference.

By the way, I have held this ambition secretly at my heart, since the time I was attending a high school in the rural area about 7 years ago when my father needed to move and live there for professional reason. Before moving to that rural areas, I was attending a prestigious high school in a big city, and it was after transferring to that high school in that rural area, I figured out the difference in the quality of education between the schools in the rural area and city.

Anyway, I think that it would take me about 5 years to fulfil this goal, and I am determined to achieve this goal because I really want to make a difference in the life of the rural area people, even if it means just a little. Besides, I prefer to live in a rural area as it would allow me to live a rather simple life, away from the hustle and bustle of hectic city life.
