Model Answer:I was a student at the City University in Hong Kong, and I can remember the farewell event of the university which was held marking the end of our academic years. This was a great event and each of the students felt honoured on this day. I also took part in the event and can recall the day clearly.
The university was decorated beautifully for the event. All the students from my batch, whose farewell was celebrated, were asked to be there in the morning, and accordingly, we were there. The university authority arranged a grand way to bid us farewell as we have completed our graduation. All of the students received their certificates and crests with some remarks and wishing for their success ahead in life.
It was a kind of gala event. The university authority asked our parents to be present at the event as well. My mother was with me. The university chancellor, vice-chancellor, and other admin officials were present there in line with the other invited guests. Some of the former students were also invited to the event. The event was filled with joy and happiness, though sometimes we felt sad because we knew we would not visit the university and meet our friends the way we did after that very day.
I can remember the event vividly for a few reasons. First, it was the last day at my university - which was sad for me. But it was also a happy day because I formally finished my graduation on that very day. I remember the day also because my mom was very proud of me. Her immense joy made me exultant as well. But the excitement of the sports and the rare event of getting wet with the hot beverage made it a day that I will always remember.
