Model Answer 1:
Our life is full of all kinds of memorable events - events which we like to cherish for a long time. Today, I would like to talk about one such memorable event which took place about 9 years ago from now.

Back then, I was just a young boy, attending a junior high school in my little old town. There wasn’t really much to do in my town except playing some soccer and flying kites occasionally. There was no movie theatre, no nice café, or any nice shopping complex where I could go and have fun. So, it was essentially a boring life for the little me. But, that didn’t necessarily mean that I didn’t have any dreams. In fact, I had many dreams, and one such dream was that one day I would also fly in the sky like the way I used to fly my kites.

By the way, I never told about this dream to anybody, but my father was an intelligent man, and he sure was able to figure it out from the way I used to stare at a flying aeroplane in the sky or draw a series of planes in my notebook so passionately. Then suddenly, one day, my father told me that we were going to fly to our capital city. Initially, I thought that he was just joking with me, but when he showed me two flight tickets in his hand, I burst into immense joy and excitement. We indeed flew to our capital city after a few days from a domestic airport, which was located far away from my little old town.

Anyway, this event was memorable for me, mainly because this was for the first time in my life that I was flying in an aeroplane. This event was memorable for me also because it was after that event that I planned to live in a big city which I eventually succeeded in implanting. After all, today, I live in the biggest and nicest cities in my country.

Sample Answer 2:

This is a nice topic to talk about, and it reminds me of some of the most interesting and memorable events in my life. Here, I’d like to talk about a very memorable event in my life, which was the day I gave my first public speech.

This event took place about four years ago at my university auditorium. The student council invited me to speak at an orientation program for new students. I usually avoided attention, so when they asked me, I almost said no. But something inside me pushed me to accept the challenge.

On the day of the event, the hall filled up completely. I walked onto the stage, looked at the audience, and felt my heart racing. My hands shook a little, but I started speaking anyway. I talked about adjusting to university life, handling stress, and taking advantage of opportunities. After a few minutes, I noticed people actually listening. Some students nodded. Others smiled. That small reaction calmed me down, and I spoke with more confidence. When I finished, the entire hall clapped, and a few students approached me later to say the speech motivated them. That moment felt incredibly rewarding, and I was so inspired by it.

This event became memorable for me because it changed the way I saw myself. I realised I could face fear, speak clearly, and connect with people. It boosted my confidence and opened doors to more opportunities later on. Whenever I doubt myself now, I think back to that day and remind myself that growth happens when I step outside my comfort zone.
