Model Answer:

We all strive to be good at what we do, especially, when it comes to our jobs. But, unfortunately, not all of us manage to achieve that “gold standard” of “good” for whatever reasons that might be. But, when it comes to my distant cousin, I don’t think that there is anybody else, who I know of, who takes care of his or her job better than my cousin.

My cousin is a teacher by profession, and he teaches at a junior high school. But, his “teaching role” started a long time before he actually formally started his career as a teacher. In fact, he used to teach kids and young students from high school from the time he started his university education. In other words, he was already doing home tutoring and giving difficult math and science lessons.

Initially, of course, he started this home tutoring thing as a means to earn some pocket money, but as time progressed, he actually started to like teaching young students. By the way, my cousin was a brilliant student, so naturally, we all expected that he would have some top-notch or glamorous corporate jobs, but instead, he actually surprised everybody by having a teaching job at a high school. After starting his teaching job, he soon proved that he wasn’t just like any other teacher, but rather he was a teacher with his own unique style of teaching who inspired all of his students to enjoy learning. No wonder, his unique skill sets of teaching helped him secure the “teacher of the year” award within a very short period of starting his career as a teacher.

I think that my cousin is really good at his work, primarily because he actually enjoys the intellectual exchange between himself and his students like no other teacher. Besides, he is good at his job also because he is a “top-rated” children psychologist who can perfectly understand when to teach a student and when to let him become just a “playful child”.

We started our journey from the vibrant city of Da Nang and headed south toward the historic town of Hoi An, riding along winding roads that hugged the breathtaking coastline. My travel companion on this journey was my closest friend, Andrew, who, like me, has always had a passion for exploring off-the-beaten-path locations. We had been planning this road trip for months, sharing dreams of navigating Vietnam’s coastal highways ...
