Model Answer:
Usually, the new year is celebrated amid great festivity in Australia. Many people get out of their homes to witness this grand event and welcome the new year with great expectations and renewed hope. I can remember such a celebration to welcome 2017. I was an undergraduate student at the University of New South Wales in Sydney back then. Thank you for this nice topic, and I will describe the event now.

Since we were supposed to graduate from the university before 2018, we thought it was our last chance to enjoy the new year celebration as classmates in Australia. We knew many of us would return to our homeland and perhaps never meet each other again. So we planned to make the new year celebration of 2017 something special. We did enjoy this event as much as we could. We did not make any plan as we were too excited to celebrate it. However, we planned that we will do things together and stay out till late.

As I recall we were 8 persons altogether from our class. All of us were there to celebrate the event. Stephen, Chan, Morrison, Rahul, Gomez, Nima and Emma were with me that day to celebrate this exceptionally enjoyable event.

We gathered at a place near the Sydney Opera House before 7:00 pm. We ate our lunch at a nearby restaurant at around 8:00 pm, exchanged some gifts with our classmates and friends, sang some songs and even danced like some bohemian people. We counted down together till the clock hit 12:00, and after it was officially 2017, we shouted aloud to welcome the new year. The surrounding atmosphere was stunning and everybody was enjoying and shouting. We also arranged for some fireworks. The display of the fireworks was outstanding and it attracted a remarkable number of people to enjoy it with us. We stayed out till 3:00 in the morning and then returned to our houses.

And that’s exactly how I succeeded in achieving a goal recently, which I otherwise thought was not possible. Now, calling “riding a car always” - no matter wherever I go and how short the distance is - is a “bad habit” that might actually offend some people, but it certainly felt like one to me. I found out that I was gaining extra pounds in my body, and my fitness was deterioratin

You have one minute to think about what you're going to say. When I was browsing the CNN.com (in fact I visit the website at least twice a day), a news story titled - ‘How to lose a job in 30 seconds’ attracted me. I thought that the news story is about offering suggestions to give up a job within half a minute. But when I entered the story, it was a different thing. CNN.com is o
