Model Answer 1:
Mr Yushuki Kawatara is an emerging scientist in Hong Kong and is well-known for inventing alternative sources of energy for various purposes. He is not world-famous, like many other celebrated scientists or inventors in the world, but he still has great contributions to Hong Kong and neighbouring regions. For this topic, I will describe this scientist whom I have known for a long, and whom I admire a lot.

We need energy in our everyday life, and we must pay for it. This energy is mostly fossil fuel, and it harms the environment to a great extent. So, an alternative source of energy, which would be cheap and environment-friendly, is, perhaps, the best solution to our quest. Mr Yushuki Kawatara mostly researches renewable energy. The concept is nothing new, but Yushuki Kawatara has shown some promising success in the field of alternative energy sources, also known as green energy. He has improved the existing solar plants, made the water a source of energy for automobiles, and advocated a great deal to inspire people in Hong Kong to use solar energy in their homes. He is a professor at the Hong Kong Metropolitan University and is well-known for his research and inventions.

I have known him for more than five years. He was my professor at the university, and he taught us Physics. Later I learned about him from different news articles and science magazines that have highlighted his work and research.

I think he is a very creative person, a talented scientist and a successful professor and researcher. He is creative in the sense that he has already invented renewable energy from water which is a great feat. He has also made the solar plant far more cheaper and accessible for ordinary people to use on their rooftops. He has more than 20 patents in his name which shows that he works and researches relentlessly besides teaching students at the university.

My travel companion on this journey was my closest friend, Andrew, who, like me, has always had a passion for exploring off-the-beaten-path locations.
