Use of computer and internet has become easier and available in Pakistan. Earlier, the country was lagging behind in technological advancement for different reasons.

With the advancement of science and technology, Pakistan has marched ahead in line with the other countries and some special events have been occurring in the country which was impossible to think of a decade ago. The common people have become technocentric and use computers, internet connections in their day to day life. The number of social networking site users has also increased in the country. But all such issues were out of imagination and people used to avoid technology for various mysterious reasons.

The changes did not take place in overnight. It took long years to bring the changes and hard efforts were also invested. Due to religious reasons, most of the people are afraid of using technologies as they were told only about the detrimental impacts of using technology. The benefits were trickily concealed to them and thus they were lagging behind. With the advancement of time, their needs increased and to meet the increasing demands, they started using technology gradually. They received benefits of technology and shared the issues with the fellow people and consequently, they got versed with the internet, using of computer applications and numerous technical issues and gradually Pakistan has become one of the IT service providers across the world.

It took a long time to get adopted with the internet. Earlier, the common people used to believe that the internet is the way to kill time by watching stripped images of women or some other similar things. They did not have the idea to use the technology in a creative way. When the neighbouring countries were marching ahead of Pakistan, it started realising the mistakes of ignoring the technology and its wings. Then with different government and nongovernment initiative, the use of internet spread across the country. Besides, the prices of computers were higher in the beginning and after the year of 2005, the prices started to reduce and many of the common people now have their access to the internet with their personal computers.

The effects of using technology are extensive on the lives of the Pakistani citizens. The commoners used to perform manual work for their living and now a notable portion of the common people are working using the internet. Their lives have been changed to a great extent and the living standard has also increased to a satisfactory level. Besides, the country is also earning foreign currency from the IT sector. The elementary schools have also introduced courses on information and technology to make kids familiar with the technologies and advancements. Now Pakistan is much better than ever before for the acceptance of technology in its everyday life.

Model Answer 2:
Nepal was lagging behind in almost every aspect including the use of technology. Recently, the scenario has changed to the greatest extent. Now the use of technology is prevailing everywhere across the country. The use of Wi-Fi is one of the prominent factors in the present days. Thank you for such a nice question. I am really happy to have the chance of answering it.

Nepal is a small country in Southeast Asia and thus it is deprived of many modern benefits. But now the days are gone and the nation is moving forward at a great pace. As part of the advancement, the use of Wi-Fi is an added advantage for the people of the country. The installation of Wi-Fi zones in different public and private places is the indicator of the advancement. The nation has realised the necessity of technology though it was extremely difficult to harness the technological issues for the lack of resources of the country.

A notable number of the local population are engaged in professions that require a frequent use of science and technology. Besides, this is the age where the inventions of science and technology have reached its peak. So, if in this moment, the nation is still behind in the race, it would be a shame for the entire nation. Accordingly, numerous public and private sectors started developing the country technologically. The prices of technological products reduced and the use of internet increased gradually. So, the necessity of Wi-Fi appeared and it was not easy to deal with the changed situations. Setting up a Wi-Fi zone, where people will have free access to Wi-Fi, was a difficult task. In fact, funding for such projects was unavailable. But some of the brave people came forward in line with the government to make it a success. Consequently, there are a good number of Wi-Fi spots are available now and people are reaping the benefits.

The development took a notable time to be implemented. The idea of setting up free Wi-Fi zones appeared after 2012. Actually, the idea was generated from the other countries where there are Wi-Fi zones are available in important places inside the cities. Similarly, numerous projects were adopted to implement the idea. But none of the projects could be successful. Sometimes, city-wide Wi-Fi was installed but the signals were poor and people could not use them perfectly. Besides, theft was another issue there to bring into consideration. Considering all the matters, it was nearly impossible to install the Wi-Fi zones in the open spaces. But after lots of struggles and experiments, finally, the issue has been fixed. Now everyone is enjoying the benefits of the technology.

The effect of the change was great. The majority of the people had their smartphones but it was not possible for them to use the smartphone features always. On the other side, the use of internet using cellular data connection was on a limited scale. Many of the users did not prefer to buy data packets as they were a bit expensive. So, when they are having a free Wi-Fi facility in almost everywhere, they are utilising the feature. They can be connected to the internet even when they are out of the home. Moreover, communication has become easier than before. Further, the speed of internet is faster and the signal is stronger as well. The users do not need to wait for hours to get connected. They have a smooth operation with the technology. They are in love with it.
